The best diet for lymphedema prevention is the Mediterranean diet, which has little red meat or processed foods, has only moderate amounts of dairy (mostly fermented), eggs and poultry, and is rich in fish, beans, nuts, fruits and vegetables, with olive oil as the primary fat.
