Liz has been a health journalist and medical editor for more than 20 years, covering HIV, viral hepatitis, cancer and other health issues. She has written for publications including the Bay Area Reporter, aidsmap/infohep, HCV Advocate, ACRIA’s Achieve, Positively Aware, The Body, the Well Project and MedPage Today.
She previously worked as an editor of the San Francisco AIDS Foundation’s Bulletin of Experimental Treatments for AIDS (BETA) and as health editor for Ask Jeeves (now Ask.com), before becoming a freelancer in the early 2000s. She has been editor-in-chief of HIVandHepatitis.com since 2011.
Liz graduated from the University of Rochester with a B.A. in cognitive science and continued her education at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. She is a member of the Association of Health Care Journalist and the American Medical Writers Association.

Prior experience include president of VNU eMedia Inc., the second largest business-to-business publisher in the United States; founder and CEO of GrayFire Information Services, a leading fax and internet developer that created customized publishing services aggregating content from over 100 major sources; and president and COO of Family Media Inc., a major consumer publishing company with 11 publications and a print circulation of over 10 million.
He has been a member of YPO/WPO since 1988 and served on the board of directors of the Metro New York Chapter. He is a past chairman of the Emerging Business Council of the Information Industry Association.
Jeremy earned his BS and MBA at New York University. Ian Anderson, President and COO, Smart + Strong Ian Anderson joined Smart + Strong as General Manager/Vice President in June 2005. Ian has responsibility for internal business management including technology and print production services, circulation and product development, and business planning. Previously, Ian spent six years at VNU eMedia (now known as Nielsen Business Media) as Director of Operations and then as Director of Product Development. Prior to VNU, he spent six years at Editor & Publisher magazine as Research Director and General Manager. Ian earned his BA in Communications at Ramapo College, Mahwah, New Jersey. |
