Today and quite often actually, despite the drawbacks, I am thankful I live in NYC.

This city is a conundrum — it is loud, noisy, at times unsafe, but it is in my heart and soul. From my first ferry rides to my jobs and schooling in this great city … to leaving it to go live and work in other countries and cities to coming back every time…

To the great medical care and amazing stuff to do — though most of the stuff to do is extremely expensive as a native sometimes I can find the deals.

I am also a typical NYer in that I take pride in not doing the touristy things — never been to the Empire State Building or the Statue of Liberty or Ellis Island — and also never been to Radio City Music Hall — until today!
